"THE GOOD OLD ROMANTIC DAYS IN CHINA"
This picture is not what it may at first appear! This picture was taken in China sometime in the early 1960's at a wedding and not a mug shot photo shoot as it may at first appear!
The sign hanging around the mans neck says "GROOM" and the sign hanging around the ladies neck says "BRIDE" The man standing next to the bride is the marriage celebrant and the other people in the picture are work colleagues and government officials. The flasks on the table contain green tea for celebration drinks and the bowl contains lollies for the guests. So romantic and such a lovely venue for the special day in their lives! A bit different to the lavish affairs of today but one could ponder whether their marriage lasted longer than a lot of those these days?
