Toowoomba, often known as the Garden City, has hundreds of parks and gardens. It is a beautiful city to visit to relax and unwind. But it does not stop there. The region also features several events and shows you will enjoy seeing during your holiday.
If you plan a trip to Toowoomba this July, here are some events to check out.
Roald Dahl’s Charlie And The Chocolate Factory Musical
8 July, The Empire Theatre
The Toowoomba Choral Society Youth Choir presents the Roald Dahl classic. Based on Roald Dahl’s renowned novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory tells the story of the world-famous Willy Wonka, who opens the doors to his enigmatic factory to a select few. Charlie Bucket and four other golden ticket winners will go on a life-changing adventure through Willy Wonka’s realm of pure imagination.
Shack By George Kemp
14 – 15 July, The Armitage Centre
Nine schoolchildren are stranded in a cabin at the bottom of the world, surrounded by an evil force. In the ghostly footsteps of Ernest Shackleton, the youthful explorers confront the nature of power and the power of nature.
Shack is a hypothermic flurry of comedy and suspense that examines the region between adolescent fear and invincibility. Catch George Kemp’s Shack in the newest addition to The Empire precinct. The Armitage Centre is a cutting-edge black box theatre space purposely constructed for maximum mobility and adaptation.
