Spend some quality with your family, remembering the past and paying respect. On April 25, there are commemorative services held all around Toowoomba.
Australia and New Zealand both observe ANZAC Day as a national holiday. Many people will gather throughout the day to pause and pay tribute to the sacrifices made by our service members. It broadly remembers all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in every war, conflict, and peacekeeping mission, in addition to their sacrifices and suffering on behalf of all others who have served.
Below are Toowoomba City’s 2023 ANZAC Day activities.
Pre-ANZAC Day Commemorative Service
Consider attending the ANZAC Day Commemorative Service – Garden of Remembrance if you get in the city early. The Toowoomba Garden of Remembrance service will begin at 8 am and end around 9 am on April 23.
