Don’t Miss Toowoomba’s Carnival of Flowers
It’s that time of the year again… the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is back!
Have you experienced the Carnival of Flowers?
Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is the most celebrated annual event in Toowoomba, held to showcase “The Garden City” in spring during which all the parks, gardens and streets come to life for one whole month of colourful floral displays, floral competitions, regional food and wine, fairground rides, live entertainment and lots more.
Simply put, it’s not to be missed and the best time to check out what Toowoomba QLD is all about!
This year marks its 72nd event, set for an even bigger return now that restrictions have been eased.
Did we mention it’s FREE to attend?
Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers 2021 Program
What’s on this year? The Carnival of Flowers program is as exciting as ever, packed with brand new floral displays, floral competitions, food and wine tastings, foodie experiences, family-friendly entertainment and activities and, of course, the spectacular Grand Central Floral Parade.
Last year’s Floral Parade was a static display due to restrictions, so you’re going to want to witness it this year as it’s returning in full bloom! See street performers, carnival characters, roving entertainment and floral floats tour the streets of Toowoomba with music and dance. It’s a sight to behold and free to enjoy.
Always wanted to check out Toowoomba’s parks and gardens? Well, the Carnival of Flowers is the best time to do it. Queens Park, Laurel Bank Park, Botanic Gardens, Japanese Gardens and more will come alive like no other time in the year with breath-taking floral installations and illuminating lights.
The Ferris Wheel is also back to offer stunning views of the Queens Park Botanic Gardens from above, which will be lit up each night (“Night Garden”), sponsored by Ergon Energy.
And if you’re a foodie and wine lover, the Festival of Food & Wine is your chance to sample the world-famous produce of South Queensland. There will also be Foodie Dinner Tours, Pub Tours and High Cheese – a gourmet tea experience with a twist. Not only that, but #trEATS is back to offer unmissable springtime discounts across Toowoomba’s best cafes, pubs and restaurants!
But the above is only the tip of the iceberg. Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers 2021 will also have rides and prizes at Sideshow Alley, Cinema Under the Stars, Parkland Entertainment (in Queens Park and Laurel Bank Park), arts and crafts workshops, art exhibits, the Toowoomba Orchid Society Spring Show, Toowoomba Bonsai Group Annual Show and lots, lots more.
All in all, if you’re looking for the perfect way to welcome spring this year, this is it!
When is Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers?
2021 Carnival of Flowers is all set to take place across Toowoomba City from September 1 to September 30. That’s one whole month, so there’s no excuse for missing it!
Most of the program’s events are FREE, except for the Ferris Wheel, foodie experiences and Festival of Food and Wine, which will require booking online in advance.
And if you’re still a little cautious (we don’t blame you), Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers will be COVID Safe – physical distancing, contactless payments, contact tracing, hand sanitation etc. – in line with any developing QLD Health guidelines.
So, what are you waiting for? Free up your September for the 2021 Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers!
