Something in the Water

Featuring Toowoomba’s local music talent, Something in the Water is a collaboration between USQ music students, alumni and staff. The show seeks to highlight the exceptional local talent of Toowoomba’s burgeoning music scene.
Be amazed by the homegrown talent as these local musicians present their styles and music. From original material to innovative covers and swinging jazz, this is a show you would thoroughly enjoy.
Featuring the talented USQ music staff Melissa Forbes, Helen Russell, Bruce Woodward, Mark Scholtes, and a host of brilliant students and alumni, the show will be an evening of the most beautiful popular music.

Butterfingers – 15 Years Of Fatboys Tour
Catch the show at The Spotted Cow, Toowoomba City on Thursday 18 April 2019 8:00 pm – 11:55 pm.
After a hugely successful 2018, which has already seen Aussie hip-hop kings Butterfingers come out with new music, tour, and play a string of amazing showcases at Bigsound, the iconic group have announced the launch of their 15 Years of Fatboys Australian tour.
The tour kicks off on March 1, 2019, at The Villa in Noosa. The tour will head to the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Dunsborough, Perth, Hillarys, Frankston, Geelong, Belgrave, Brisbane, Wollongong, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, Townsville, Airlie Beach, Hobart, Toowoomba, Ipswich, and culminate at The Northern in Byron Bay on April 26.
With their years of experience and an incredible sense of musical brilliance, Butterfingers are eager to launch their breakout album Breakfast At Fatboys on the road in 2019. They have announced that the old album will be released on vinyl to coincide with the tour.
Eager to kick things off, Evil Eddie says they are excited to go on tour.
They will be playing the album from start to finish, peppering the set with newer tracks and some old fan favourites, Butterfingers are veterans in the Aussie hip-hop scene.
The album Breakfast At Fatboys was a triumph for the group. Their witty, eclectic brand of stomping hip-hop became very popular across the country and beyond. Their first two singles, every time and I Love Work, both featured on the debut album, made it triple j’s coveted Hottest 100 countdown at #38 and #15 respectively, and Yo Mama dropped in at #17. The record earned the Feature Album accolade as well as a nomination for Best Independent Release at the 2004 ARIA Awards.
