The world has clung on to religion ever since God was in nappies, and what have we achieved: wars, terrorist attacks and Christian rock. It’s time we re-examine religion, so Chopper is starting his own, in his likeness and giving hell to the powers that be.

There is a new ‘Mo-ssiah’ in town. He’s for a new age, and he’s holier than Oscar Pistorius’ bathroom door. Thou shalt learn how to become a Chopostle! So gather round and be transformed by Bogan Jesus! Again! Don’t miss the show on February 1 at Empire Theatres.

Sara Macliver in Concert with Camerata

Camerata welcomes Sara Macliver, one of Australia’s most well-loved sopranos.

After a dreamy entrée from Grainger, Sara’s talent will be showcased in Schumann’s intimate, A Woman’s Love and Life portraying the emotional stages of a 19th-century woman’s life, based on the story of his wife Clara whom he had just wed. Britten’s rare and artistic set of character pieces follows and ranges from the most poignant to hilarious moments with genius and passion that still elevate the finest chamber orchestras of today.

At the concert, Camerata reveals a mystery guest before ending the evening with Sara in Vivaldi’s tempestuous In furore that is sure to bring the audience to their feet and the concert to a climactic end. Don’t miss the show on February 19 at Empire Theatres.
